Rialto Distribution acquires The Millenium Trilogy

15 June 2009

Swedish hit feature "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" has just recently been acquired by Rialto Distribution.

The crime thriller, the first in the "Millennium"
trilogy based on the best-selling novels by Stieg Larsson, is already the most successful Scandinavian film of all time. Outside of Scandinavia (where it attracted more than 2.6 million admissions and box office receipts of $38 million) the picture has so far pulled in more than 1.3 million admissions.

The other films in the trilogy are "The Girl Who Played With Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest." The first novel has sold over 100,000 copies in Australia and New Zealand so far and remains on the best selling charts.
