THE SECRETS IN THEIR EYES WINS OSCAR FOR BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM!

BuenosAires - Argentina celebrated with pride Monday the second Academy Award in its history after Juan Jose Campanella's film The Secret in Their Eyes won the best foreign-language feature. "We Argentines are very proud of this production, which I am sure will dazzle the whole world," said Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who said she had watched the film twice.

The Secret in Their Eyes (El secreto de sus ojos) is the country's greatest box-office hit in the past 35 years, with 2.5 million spectators in a country of 41 million people.

Main actor Ricardo Darin, who watched the Oscar ceremony in Buenos Aires, said the award is "miraculous" and constitutes a prize for Argentine cinema as a whole and for Latin American cinema more generally.

The film "obtained the dream prize," the daily La Nacion wrote on its front page.

"A gala for the history of Argentine cinema," the daily Pagina/12 said.
